Dear CBC:
There is a new invention. It’s called the Internet. It’s kind of like a telephone, except that you can see pictures on it, and writing, and hear things too, and instead of only being able to talk to one person, you can talk to the entire world. The other fun thing about the internet is that you can show your friends the interesting things you find there. They can show you stuff too. Unless idiotic lawyers working for a CROWN CORPORATION paid for by PUBLIC TAXES decide that they OWN their toys and will not let you play with them unless they say so.
Dear CBC:
You will die a slow and sad death of oblivion if you don’t try to understand the basic principles of how information flows when you erase the cost of transmission of information.
Dear CBC:
You know how people used to say the “highly-respected CBC”? They used to say that about BBC and ABC and even NPR (sometimes) too. They still say it about BBC, ABC. And look at what PBS is doing! They all seem to understand basic principles of information dissemination. CBC, go ask your public broadcasting friends what they’re doing these days, then maybe take a little nap, and think about whether you are interested in remaining highly-respected, or if you just want to play E-Z listening. Which would be fine, if you weren’t using my tax dollars to do it, and destroying a fine Canadian institution in the process.

Hear, Hear! There is far too much of this crap going around. Credit where credit is due, pass the profits along–informaiton and ideas should be free and freely exchanged.
