mycomments co.comment cocomments

I started this blog in December 2004, and right away got all excited about del.icio.us and RSS and … well… stuff. Mike got me interested in tracking mycomments that I leave on other blogs. Mike traced this back to fling93, and in Jan 2005 I wrote a how-to track your comments with delicious and post them to your blog here.

At the time I thought: oh, this will take off like a rocket! cool.

It didn’t, but I still get traffic hitting that post and the odd email about it from some hacker or other.

Now it seems there are a number of services for doing this in a more automatic way, including:
cocomment and co.comment, which heavy-hitters TechCrunch and Scoble have written about recently. I wonder if it’ll take off this time? It still seems labour-intensive, so perhaps not yet. The idea is nice though.

(PS I wonder if commentspammers also wish to track their comments on other people’s blogs?)
