I just heard on the radio that the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal has decided (with no public consultation) to change the name of Park Ave/Avenue du Parc to… Avenue Robert Bourassa. I hate this kind of meddling-by-fiat with where I live: geography and the things we name our places are of great importance, to me anyway. And when the place I live in is changed like this, by government decree, it makes the hair on my neck stand on end.

So I sent an email to the City Councillor for Plateau Montreal (and member of Executive Committee):
Helen Fotopulos: hfotopulos@ville.montreal.qc.ca
And Mayor Tremblay: geraldtremblay@ville.montreal.qc.ca

And a bunch of other people. If it pisses you off too, why not send them an email and let them know?
